Radiomir California PAM424 is not my first choice when it comes to Panerai. Despite the big size of the case – 47mm, I love the shape and the numeral combination on the dial. The mix between Roman and Arabic numerals is lovely and I am always somehow nostalgic when I encounter this timepiece. It’s quite big for my wrist and a little bit heavy for my taste but love it anyway.
The calibre P.3000 (160 components) is simple and robust, it only shows hours and minutes but has a twin barrel with 3 days power reserve and the polished steel case with patented removable wire loop strap attachments offers 10 bars water resistance.
P.3000 calibre: hand-wound mechanical, executed entirely by Panerai, 16½ lignes, 5.3 mm thick, 21 jewels, Glucydur® balance, 21,600 alternations/hour. Incabloc® anti-shock device. Power reserve 3 days, two barrels. 160 components. – information from Panerai Website
The dial is black with luminous Arabic and Roman numerals and hour marker and the night view is spectacular.
The Panerai PAM424 can be found on the market with prices between 5300 Euro and 6500 Euro, but recommendable would be a purchase from an authorised Boutique.
