It’s that time of the month again – when I check my favourite Auction House for interesting objects. This time I fell in love with two Blancpain and some other nice watches. These watches will be available for auction on 04 March at 11:00 o’clock, Germany time here or place a bid till 3 of March 2017, 23:59 o’clock Germany’s time.
The first watch is a Blancpain Villeret Calendar: an automatic timepiece with date, day, month and moon-phase, packed in a stainless steel case with an 18k gold bezel. This watch uses calibre 953, it has an original Blancpain gold plated pin buckle and a Blancpain etui. The starting price for this beauty is 2,400 Euro (buyer’s premium included).
The second watch is a Blancpain Villeret Chronograph: an automatic timepiece with date, small second and chronograph, packed in a stainless steel case with an 18k gold bezel. This Villeret uses calibre 1185 and comes with operation manual. The price for this beauty starts with 3,400 Euro (buyer’s premium included).
The third find for today is a Frankenwatch – A Rolex Chronograph from the 40’s that was at some point restored using non-original parts (crown, screws, minute counter wheel spring and so on). The dial was also cleaned in not the best way possible. The Auction Hause recommends a visit to their shop before bidding. This Ref. 2508 comes with a Rolex pin buckle and costs 1450 Euro (starting price with buyer’s premium included). The watch is at least interesting and can be a guilty pleasure add to a collection.
Another lovely find is this Cartier Tank Americaine in 18k white gold with quartz movement. The price for this timepiece starts from 3000 Euro (buyer’s premium included). As I saw the market price, this one can be a deal if you take it with the starting price.
My guilty pleasure from this auction is the Christian Dior lady watch in 18k gold: hand wound calibre 2512-1 with Dior leather strap and buckle but with visible wearing marks. This rectangular timepiece has a starting price of 780 Euro (buyer’s premium included).
