Reading Time: 3 minutes
The Perpetual Calendar was always a desired complication: the watch that needs no correction for the date is convenient and most of the times a beautiful timepiece. This is the case of the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Chronoperpetual – a flyback chronograph and perpetual calendar with leap year and moon phase (no manual correction necessary until the year 2100). This watch is available in 4 variants with different metal case and dial colour.
The Manero Chronoperpetual Ref. 00.10906.03.13.01 is a beautiful beast. Limited to 100 pieces, this watch comes in an 18k rose gold case with 42.5mm diameter and a height of 14.3mm. At this size, the Manero is easy to wear and can be a successful all day watch and if you don’t mind the complexity of the dial, a gorgeous dress watch.
The Manero Chronoperpetual has a complex dial: the small seconds and the date indication at 12 o’clock, the 30 minutes counter for the chronograph, the month and the leap year indication at 9 o’clock, the Chrono hours counter and the day indication at 6 o’clock and the moon phase at 3 o’clock.
The two tone silver-coloured dial has two luminescent dots for the 12 o’clock indication, one luminescent dot for the 3 & 6 o’clock indication and gold applied long edged pyramids for 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 & 11 o’clock.
The hour and minutes indication is done using dauphine polished gold hands with applied luminescent for a better visibility. The Chrono indicators and small seconds have black painted hands and the calendar function has gold hands.
The beautiful case has a mix of brushed and polished edges with gold Chrono pushers and gold crown with brand’s logo. On top, there is a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The screw case back has a sapphire crystal and offer a view to the automatic caliber CFB 1904. The case is water-resistant up to 30 m (3 atm).
