Paneristi.com celebrates this year the 20th anniversary. Panerai joins the celebration and acknowledges once again this strong online community with a limited edition anniversary piece – Panerai Radiomir Venti PAM02020.
Panerai Radiomir Venti PAM02020
Just 1020 pieces of the Paneristi PAM 02020 piece will be manufactured. This special watch was created as a joint project between Laboratorio di Idee, Panerai’s technical and creative team and the most important web community, Paneristi.com.
Radiomir with aged patina effect
Panerai Radiomir Venti PAM02020 comes in a 45mm steel case. The steel was treated with a matte finish to gain a vintage feel. This look fits well with the anniversary piece. The bezel received the same type of adornment.
On the lower side of the case, between lugs was engraved “VENTI” as a tribute to the Paneristi.com community.
The Radiomir Venti was fitted with a vintage OP decorated crown. The crown is inspired by Panerai’s historic pieces. It offers an excellent grip, even with gloves.
Paying a tribute to the past
The dial of the Panerai Radiomir Venti PAM02020 is a traditional sandwich format. The brown sunray colour simulates the effect of time observed on the brand’s earliest models.
Radiomir Venti features golden sword hour and minutes hands with beige Super-LumiNovaTM. The same luminescent shade used for the sandwich dial.
The lower side of the dial was engraved with the Panersiti.com logo and the years of activity – a nice tribute to the online community. The tribute was continued on the back with a lacquered engraving.
Three days manual wound
Panerai Radiomir Venti PAM02020 is powered by a hand-wound movement, the Calibre p.6000. This calibre was entirely conceived, designed and developed by the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel.
The movement operates at 3 Hz, being capable of three days power reserve from a single barrel. Calibre P.6000 features the bridge with dual support and a stop mechanism for the balance wheel when the crown is pulled.
Final consideration
Panerai Radiomir Venti PAM02020 is a beautiful watch that pays respect to one of the most important watch community worldwide. The series of vintage-inspired elements and finishes are a nice reminder of the passing of time, of how the age brings hidden beauty.
While I would have loved the watch without the dial engravings, I can only raise my hat to this beautiful community. Any Panersiti will be proud to show his membership and this sign of loyalty to the brand and his circle of Paneristi.
