A NEW DIMENSION IN THE QUEST FOR PRECISION
Dedicated to innovation, the caliber CVS8850 takes technical prowess to new heights with a major landmark in the history of CVSTOS. Developed in collaboration with TELOS WATCH, this sophisticated hand-wound mechanical movement is composed of two independent flying tourbillons beating at 28’800 v.p.h. (4 Hz). As well as maintaining its highest standards of watchmaking expertise, two patented innovations have been filed which achieve ultimate precision through their technical breakthrough.
ONE CALIBER, TWO NEW PATENTS
Fitted on the main plate, four barrels connected in parallel, ensure the power supply to drive the two tourbillons. This patented arrangement ensures that all four barrels operate simultaneously in order to produce the required level of energy to a differential that averages out the rate of the two tourbillons. As one innovation often leads to another, the patented differential gearing system is mounted on high-tech ceramic micro ball bearings instead of rubies, thereby drastically reducing friction.
TECHNICAL HARMONY
Capturing the essence of CVSTOS’ concept, the movement is fitted in either the powerful Challenge III case or the spectacular Sealiner case with its nautical features. Beautifully balanced, the dial offers a three-dimensional representation of the openwork movement and the superimposition of its 364 components displayed on four different levels. Positioned a 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock the two flying tourbillons revolve independently and provide a lively vision of watchmaking excellence around the small second subdial at 6 o’clock.
A LIMITED-EDITION OF TWENTY-FIVE BESPOKE TIMEPIECES
Belonging to the exclusive circle of Haute Horlogerie, the CVSTOS Double Tourbillon Différentielle is a strictly limited edition of 25 bespoke timepieces. A unique and individualized wristwatch with a matchless combination of materials ranging from 5N rose gold to titanium or steel and a large palette of various coating treatments, settings and straps.
