H. Moser & Cie. presents the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic version 2.0. For this update of its award-winning chronograph, the Schaffhausen-based manufacture is introducing the logo in transparent lacquer on the Funky Blue dial, a unique H. Moser & Cie. signature first seen on the Pioneer MEGA Cool model. In another change, the movement features more contemporary finishes, with anthracite grey rhodium-plating on the bridges and main plate, in the same spirit than on the Streamliner Perpetual Calendar calibre.

In January 2020, just before the pandemic, H. Moser & Cie. held an entirely virtual launch for its Streamliner Flyback Chronograph. Despite these unusual circumstances, it was a huge success. The highly polarizing cushion-shape of the case was a hit, as was the integrated bracelet with its fluid movement and multitude of high-end details and finishes; the automatic movement developed by Agenhor, one of H. Moser & Cie.’s partners through its mother company, MELB Luxe, is completely unrivalled.

More than a product, the Streamliner proved to be a veritable springboard, allowing H. Moser & Cie. to switch to the next track, significantly speeding up the brand’s development. Initially released as a limited edition of 100 pieces, the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic sold out in a just a few days. That same year, H. Moser & Cie. then launched a three-hand model, followed by a second reference for its chronograph featuring a Funky Blue fumé dial. In 2021, the brand launched its famous perpetual calendar in the Streamliner case, followed in 2022 by the flying tourbillon with double hairspring.

The epitome of fluidity, with its geometric lines and dynamic forms, the collection has perfectly rounded curves which evoke the very first high-speed trains from the Twenties and Thirties whose name it adopts. Boldly combining minimalist codes with the contemporary elegance that is the cornerstone of H. Moser & Cie.’s reputation, the design took inspiration from its integrated steel bracelet.

Focussed on the essential, and showcasing the model’s functions, the Streamliner line links the past with the present and future, as Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., explains: “The Streamliner draws a connection between our history, which dates back almost 200 years, and a very promising future. Since we acquired the brand in 2012, we have increased annual production fivefold and turnover eightfold, and our profitability as a group greatly exceeds that of the average Swiss watch company. The Streamliner collection has been a formidable boost, but we are taking care to maintain a balance between our four lines, each of which has its own personality and characteristics“.

The Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Funky Blue 2.0 model is an evolution of the first two chronographs released by H. Moser & Cie. The 2.0 possesses the same qualities, with certain key elements of the brand’s DNA updated, such as the transparent lacquer logo which adorns its Funky Blue fumé dial. Like a secret signature, it is a subtle reminder of the pre-eminence of the product. The brand must take a back seat to its creations, with H. Moser & Cie. remaining synonymous with minimalism, refined elegance and understatement.

The rest of the aesthetic features and functions of the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Funky Blue 2.0 remain unchanged. It is still water-resistant to 12 ATM and the chronograph function can be used on land and underwater. Designed as a veritable sculpture, its case has harmonious proportions and beautiful aerodynamics, which continue into its integrated steel bracelet.

On the movement side, this automatic chronograph with a central display and flyback function on the minutes and seconds is equipped with one of the best chronograph calibres ever designed. This movement was developed by AGENHOR, one of H. Moser & Cie.‘s partner companies, with a focus on minimalism and legibility. Visible through the sapphire case-back, the calibre HMC 907 features a highly contemporary finish, with the traditional Moser stripes angled at 45° and anthracite grey rhodium-plating on the bridges and main plate. The oscillating weight has been placed between the movement and the dial to allow the operation of the chronograph and its column wheel to be admired.
