UNION GLASHÜTTE is once again partnering with ADAC Deutschland Klassik for 2023. But this year there is a special highlight: The 2023 rally will be held in the multifaceted region of Saxony, Germany. Familiar territory for the watch brand. Those taking part will, therefore, not only experience the natural and cultural assets of Saxony as they travel through; they will also work in an exclusive stop-off at the watch factory in Glashütte. And, in honour of the occasion, UNION GLASHÜTTE has designed a particularly unusual limited-edition timepiece. The Noramis Date showcases an unconventional design: The dial is inspired by an iconic vintage-style wheel rim, complete with miniature screw heads, reminiscent of wheel nuts. The rim has a matt finish with a 3D quality to it, allowing it to stand out in contrast with the highly polished black dial. Limited to only 200 pieces, this will be a must-have for all classic car fans.
The sophisticated details of this vintage-car-inspired timepiece emphasise, once again, the close collaboration between UNION GLASHÜTTE and the classic car rally racers. The wheel-rim dial measures an elegant 40 mm across, ensuring that it will sit perfectly on any wrist. The discreet, black-inset date display sits at 6 o’clock. For optimum readability, the tips of the retro markers, which are a hallmark of the Noramis range, are dipped in white – the Super-LumiNova® coating has a green tinge. The rounded sapphire crystal, with its delicate bezel, further emphasises the nostalgic feel of the watch.
The watch is supplied with a beige nubuck leather strap. At the heart of the watch, the technical marvel that is the UNG-07.S1 mechanical movement, with a silicon balance spring and a power reserve of at least 60 hours, keeps the timepiece running. The stainless-steel case back is engraved with a map of Germany, with the state of Saxony and Dresden especially highlighted. This year’s ADAC Deutschland Klassik will be held from 24th to 27th May 2023.
The Noramis Date Deutschland Klassik 2023 edition will be available from selected specialist outlets for €2680.00 (recommended retail price).
