For the 25th time, classic car enthusiasts will meet this year for the Silvretta Classic in the picturesque Montafon. As a cooperation partner, UNION GLASHÜTTE is presenting a very special chronograph: The Viro Chronograph Silvretta Classic 2023 in bright Salzburg red.
This completes the trilogy started two years ago. Like its predecessors in baby blue-orange and white with apple-green accents, this bold colour scheme in combination with three white stripes is reminiscent of racing car icons from the 1960s. The nickel-black hands with generous Super-LumiNova® coating offer a good contrast to the striking red tone of the dial. This contrast is maintained for the chrono hand and the small seconds, which supports the readability of the model. Large numerals and any other applications were deliberately omitted. Timekeeping is clearly in the foreground.
The racing character of the watch is rounded off by the leather strap in an open cut with a racing look. For the more classic wearer, there is a metal strap to change. The Silvretta Classic 2023 is limited to an exclusive number of only 200 pieces.
The Viro line from UNION GLASHÜTTE stands for simple, reduced models. And this is exactly what is reflected in the Silvretta Classic 2023 chronograph. However, with unusual details that make the watch a real eye-catcher.
The nickel-black chrono rings and hands stand out against the striking Salzburg red of the dial. The black UNION lettering and the black date display provide a further contrast. The hour markers are replaced by white dots filled with Super-LumiNova® to make the dial appear as a whole. The chronograph features mushroom pushers as well as a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The black hour and minute hands are classically coated with Super-LumiNova®. The watch has a diameter of 44 mm, making it easy and quick to read the time. Inside the watch beats the UNG-14.01 with a power reserve of up to 60 hours.
