MECAQUARTZ
The mecaquartz is an important part of the Furlan Marri story. Even more, it was the first stone in the building. Back to 2021, for the brand birth, Furlan Marri decided to launch a serie of mecaquartz vintage chronographs.
Invented in the late 80’s, the mecaquartz movements were an answer to the difficult choice of “quartz or mechanical”, following the quartz crisis. Basically, this hybrid movement mechanical chronograph module has been granted. Results: the feeling of a fully mechanical chronograph (sweeping seconds hand) while the accuracy of a quartz watch. Now, there’s no need to choose sides.
You can benefit from the precision and simplicity of a quartz movement, a thinner case while having a mechanical feeling on the chronograph thanks to the Seiko movement.
For those who haven’t chosen yet or are still sceptic, here’s an emergency kit to help you make your heart beat again for “non-entirely” mechanical watches.
