Panerai presents the Luminor Chrono Carbotech™ PAM01219, the first-ever Chrono Carbotech™ timepiece to join the permanent Luminor Collection.

Distinguished by its sophisticated mechanical chronograph movements, the Panerai Luminor Chrono collection embodies the Maison’s continued efforts in technological innovation and application of new materials. The new Luminor Chrono Carbotech PAM01219 expands this universe designed to meet the aesthetic and functional demands of modern watch enthusiasts.
Set in a 44mm Carbotech™ case, the timepiece remains faithful to the iconic Luminor aesthetic, with large, luminous markers and a distinct seconds sub-dial. Carbotech™ plays a significant role in the crafting of the PAM01219. Weighing 14% less than titanium and 36% lighter than steel, it enhances both the comfort and endurance of the watch. The structure of Carbotech™ is designed to enhance both the aesthetics and the performance of the material where thin sheets of carbon fibres are compressed at a controlled temperature under high pressure together with a high-end polymer, PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone), which binds the composite material, making it stronger.
The matte black dial sets the stage for the vibrant indicators and subdials of the chronograph functions. These colors serve a dual purpose: adding a vibrant contrast against the black backdrop and helping wearers quickly identify the watch’s various features which resonate with the Maison’s unmistakable DNA of luminescence. Each watch is paired with a technical material bracelet, engineered to resist both sweat and water with an impressive water resistance of 10 bar (100 metres) and a sealed case back. For those who prefer a more classic touch, the watch also comes with a black rubber and fabric strap made from high-quality rubber.
At the heart of the Panerai Luminor Chrono Carbotech PAM01219 is the Chrono Automatic P.9200 calibre, offering a power reserve of 42 hours, while the Speed Tachymeter Scale function allows wearers to measure the average speed over a defined distance.
Luminor Chrono Carbotech PAM01219 will be available from October 2023 onwards.
