Eberhard & Co. has renewed its participation as Main Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of “La Leggenda di Bassano – Trofeo Giannino Marzotto”, a regularity race part of the ASI (Italian Historical Automotoclub) circuit dedicated to vintage barchette organised by the Circolo Veneto Automoto d’Epoca (Veneto Vintage Motors Club).
For the occasion, the historic cars were accompanied by an exceptional forerunner: the marvellous Dallara Stradale driven by the two-time World Rally Champion Miki Biasion, Brand Ambassador of Eberhard & Co.
One hundred vintage cars of great historical and collector value from 12 countries travelled more than 400 kilometres through the enchanting landscapes framed by the Dolomitic Alps between Veneto and Trentino, touching beautiful locations in both regions, all the way to San Martino di Castrozza.
To mark the conclusion of the race, Eberhard & Co. gifted two precious Champion V wristwatch chronographs to the Paglione-De Angelis crew, who clinched the top spot overall driving a splendid 1927 Bugatti T37.
Among the cars that took part in the event there were twelve Bentley from the 1920s and 1930s (an unparalleled number for a tourist/cultural event), five O.S.C.A., four Maserati, including two A6GCS and a 300 S, eleven Jaguar (including two SS 100s and a C-type), three Ferrari, including the extremely rare Ferrari 225 S Spyder Vignale ex Vittorio Marzotto, winner of the Monte Carlo Grand Prix in 1952, and a majestic 1930 Mercedes-Benz 720 SSKL.
The event once again demonstrated its “legendary” status, celebrating a passion that defies time – the very spirit that unites enthusiasts of vintage cars and reflects the DNA of Swiss Maison Eberhard & Co.
