The Linde Werdelin Oktopus NATO CPU fuses military-grade functionality with sculptural elegance. Crafted in titanium grade 5, the case emanates an aura of strength and resilience, while maintaining a polished finesse that belies its rugged nature. Its five-part construction embodies precision engineering, offering water resistance to 300 meters and a screw-down crown that ensures operational security in the harshest conditions.

Linde Werdelin is the chosen partner of the NATO Close Protection Unit (“CPU”) for a series of watches specially designed and produced for the members of their unit. The CPU is the executive security team that protects NATO’s Secretary General against potential enemy threats.

The dial is a marvel of layered artistry, featuring a sandwich construction. The luminous underlayer, bathed in Super-Luminova, shines through the cut-out numerals and indices on the NATO blue top disk—a shade that resonates with the NATO insignia prominently placed at its centre. Between six and three o’clock, the inscription “Close Protection Unit” proudly displays its exclusivity. The hands, diamond-cut and coated in Super-Luminova, glide with precision, mirroring the sophistication of the 4 Hz automatic movement beneath.

On the reverse, the caseback bears the Close Protection Unit’s emblem and NATO’s unifying motto: “One for all and all for one.” This design nods to a legacy of bespoke watches created for elite forces, reflecting Linde Werdelin’s commitment to functionality, durability, and symbolic storytelling.

Linde Werdelin Oktopus NATO CPU encapsulates history, collaboration, and the indomitable spirit of its wearers.
