The Radiomir 8 Giorni Eilean Experience Edition PAM01643 is a limited-edition watch by Panerai, designed for those participating in the Mediterranean Experience. This watch, limited to just 30 pieces, incorporates materials from Panerai’s Bermudian ketch, Eilean. The bezel, crown, and medallion use bronze recovered from Eilean during its restoration, combined with new bronze, and are housed in a 45mm Brunito steel case. The case showcases a burnished finish achieved through a physical vapor deposition (PVD) treatment and hand-brushing, giving it a vintage appearance.
Inside, the watch features the Panerai P.5000 hand-wound calibre, known for its 8-day power reserve. The movement is robust, with most components secured between plates, and includes a large 10 mm balance wheel with a variable inertia design, supported by a traversing bridge for improved stability.
Aesthetically, the watch includes a grainy beige dial, reminiscent of the sails on the Eilean, with luminescent numerals and markers that add a vintage touch. The strap is made of dark brown calf leather with beige stitching, marked with ‘1936’ to honour the Eilean‘s launch. The back of the case features a bronze medallion engraved with ‘Eilean’ and the year of its maiden voyage, alongside an engraving of the dragon emblem from the yacht’s hull.
