YEMA, the renowned French watchmaker established in 1948, is delighted to unveil the new YEMA Superman Slim CMM.20 collection on yema.com. This collection will be open for pre-orders starting from February 20, with the initial batch of 100 watches per model scheduled for shipping in May 2024.
Powered by Yema‘s Manufacture micro-rotor calibre CMM.20 and offered in two colour options, this refined iteration of the iconic Superman model showcases a completely redesigned and slimmer 39mm case with sophisticated finishes. The new 20mm Scales Slim bracelet seamlessly integrates with the curved lugs of the case and tapers gracefully towards the buckle.

Manufacture micro-rotor calibre CMM.20 Morteau 20
French manufacture calibre: Calibre was designed in Switzerland and developed in France by brand’s watchmakers. Bridges and mainplates manufactured in YEMA’s Morteau workshops.
Ultra-thin calibre: Due to its smart architecture resulting in a contained thickness of just 3.70 mm, this new calibre equips sleeker and refined cases.

Completely redesigned steel case
The watch’s 39mm case makes a bold statement with its blend of materials and textures. The sleek 316L stainless steel shines brightly, showcasing the interplay of brushed and polished finishes on the curved 20mm lugs.
Built for adventure, now even sleeker! This watch takes inspiration from classic dive watches but is 1mm thinner to comfortably house the brand’s micro-rotor CMM.20 movement. Don’t worry, it’s still tough as nails with 300M water resistance, thanks to the sapphire back and screw-down crown.
New enamel lacquered dials manufacture Francaise
The meticulously crafted enamel lacquered dial prominently features the inscription “MANUFACTURE FRANÇAISE” at 6 o’clock, symbolizing YEMA‘s new positioning following the internalization of component manufacturing for our CMM calibres and the local production of casings.
The classic Superman hands in polished steel have been slightly refined while the iconic “shovel” sweep seconds has been replaced by the original seconds hand of the legendary Superman 53.00.16.
The new enamel lacquered dial offers a dazzling shine, and at some angles, it reflects a milky texture. The deep dial colour accentuates the play of light and magnifies the reflections of the two convex sides of the double-domed sapphire crystal.
Sapphire bezel and grade A Super-Luminova
The rotating bezel stands out both for its complex design and its quality of finish. It is entirely made of sapphire and is in perfect harmony with the enamel lacquered dial and the brushed finish of the case. This redesigned bezel features a unidirectional rotation, a 0-60 simplified scale, and a luminescent marker at 12 o’clock treated in Grade A Super-LumiNova.
Iconic bezel-lock mechanism since 1967
The Superman’s bezel-lock mechanism linked to the crown has proven to be highly useful for professional divers and has been a consistent inclusion in all Superman models since end 1960s. This mechanism was patented by YEMA in 1967 in France and in 1968 in the United States. The lock works by pulling out the screw-down crown, adjusting the bezel, and then resecuring the crown, thus pushing the lock against the bezel and securing it.

More resistant double-domed sapphire crystal
The Superman Slim features a 2.00 mm shock-resistant and scratch-resistant double-domed sapphire crystal. Its curved shape gives it a very unique, resolutely vintage look, while offering better readability thanks to its two convex sides as well as increased water resistance up to 30 BAR.
New Scales slim bracelet
The iconic 1960s YEMA Scales bracelet has been slimmed down by 0.40mm so as to harmoniously integrate with the Superman Slim thin case.
This new Scales Slim bracelet gradually tapers from 4mm at the buckle and naturally adapts to each wrist’s shape. It features a fully brushed finish, providing an elegant visual continuity with the brushed steel case.
