IWC Schaffhausen Partners  With Apple Original Films’ Highly Anticipated Formula One™ Racing Feature

IWC Schaffhausen is thrilled to announce its partnership with Apple Original Films’ highly anticipated Formula One racing feature, directed by Joseph Kosinski, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment, and seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films. In the film, IWC will appear as a sponsor of the fictional APX GP team. Selected models from IWC’s Pilot’s Watches collection will feature on the wrists of different characters. The film will be shot in and around actual Grand Prix races, such as the British Grand Prix in Silverstone this weekend.

In 2013, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer became the Official Engineering Partner of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team. The same year, team driver Lewis Hamilton joined the IWC family as a brand ambassador. IWC further underscores its passion for motorsport, racing and engineering by announcing a partnership with Apple Original Films’ highly anticipated Formula One™ racing feature, which will be co-produced by Lewis Hamilton and his production company Dawn Apollo Films.

Formula One™ Racing Feature

IWC WILL SPONSOR THE FICTIONAL APX GP TEAM

In the movie, IWC Schaffhausen will be a sponsor of APX GP, a fictional 11th team on the grid. IWC’s branding will appear on the front wing and the Halo of the race cars, on the driver’s race suits, helmets, gloves, and team uniforms, as well as in the garage. Timepieces from IWC’s Pilot collection will be worn by different characters and figure as official team watches. Among these are the Big Pilot’s Watch 43 in stainless steel with a black dial, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN in black zirconium oxide ceramic and the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 in stainless steel with a black dial.

SHOT IN AND AROUND ACTUAL GRAND PRIX WEEKENDS

The film is made in collaboration with Formula One™ and will be immersed in the exhilarating and cinematic world of Formula One™. It stars Brad Pitt as a former driver who returns to Formula One™, alongside Damson Idris as his team mate on APX GP, a fictional 11th team on the grid. The film will be shot in and around actual Grand Prix™ weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport. The cast includes Academy Award® nominee Kerry Condon, Academy Award® winner Javier Bardem, and Emmy Award® winner and Golden Globe Award® nominee Tobias Menzies. Academy Award® nominee Ehren Kruger wrote the screenplay. Warner Bros. Pictures will release the film globally in theatres and in IMAX in North America on 27th June 2025 and internationally from 25th June 2025.
