Eberhard & Co. has created collector’s timepiece for Dallara, celebrating the renowned company specialized in engineering design, development, and production of race cars, prototypes, and high-performance road vehicles. This tribute takes shape in the contemporary reinterpretation of the historic Contograf model: an eye-catching chronograph featuring a black dial customized with yellow counters—the iconic color of Dallara—and enriched by its distinctive logo.
Inspired by the original 1960s Contograf, this mechanical automatic chronograph was celebrated in its time for its innovative features. The original model was equipped with a chronograph minute counter at 3 o’clock, including a telephone timing indicator (marking the connection charge that used to activate every three minutes), and a large date display at 6 o’clock with quick-set functionality—a revolutionary detail for its era. The Contograf reissue preserves the innovative spirit of the original and includes unique elements, such as an automotive-inspired tachymeter scale on the rehaut, featuring a red 50 km/h average speed marker.
