Louis Moinet IMPULSION TITANIUM GREEN

Introducing Louis Moinet IMPULSION TITANIUM GREEN

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Conceived as a showpiece for Dubai Watch Week 2025, the Louis Moinet IMPULSION TITANIUM GREEN distils the collection’s core idea into a sharper, chromatically charged package, combining an exposed, dial‑side monopusher chronograph with a flying tourbillon in a limited series of just 12 pieces that foregrounds both the brand’s historical roots and its current taste for architectural, contemporary watchmaking.

The “dial” is in effect a green chapter ring carrying a minute track with red accents at every fifth marker around an open central arena, where smoked sapphire counters float over a mainplate clad in carbon fibre, the material extending behind the off‑centre flying tourbillon at six o’clock and around the visible inserts to create a layered, industrial stage for the exposed chronograph train, while faceted, skeletonised hands with luminescent material and red‑tipped chronograph hands and cage indicator complete an assertive green‑and‑red scheme echoed by the strap.

Calibre LM114 is an in‑house, hand‑wound movement measuring 32 mm by 7.55 mm, with a double‑barrel architecture delivering 96 hours of power reserve at 4 Hz (28,800 vph), driving hours, minutes, small seconds, a 30‑minute chronograph and a flying tourbillon whose off‑centre cage completes one rotation per minute, all coordinated by a column wheel that controls start, stop and reset through a single pusher, while 36 jewels, contemporary finishing on the visible steel components, the carbon‑fibre‑covered mainplate and the tinted sapphire registers work together to highlight the three‑dimensional chronograph and tourbillon choreography on the dial side.

The IMPULSION case is a 42.5 mm, 14.75 mm‑thick, 30‑metre‑rated grade 5 titanium structure composed of two lateral sections, a bezel and a caseback assembled around a black‑tinted titanium inner frame that appears through flank cut‑outs, the external surfaces alternating polished, satin‑brushed and micro‑bead‑blasted finishes beneath a sapphire crystal with double‑sided anti‑reflective treatment, while a green Louisiana alligator strap with red stitching and alligator lining, paired with a triple‑blade folding clasp featuring fine adjustment and a curved Fleur de Lys, anchors the colour story and keeps the substantial but lightweight watch securely and comfortably on the wrist.

In this Titanium Green configuration, IMPULSION becomes an even more focused proposal: a 12‑piece (Approx. CHF 110,000 excl. taxes), Dubai‑Watch‑Week‑specific monopusher chronograph with flying tourbillon that uses colour, carbon, smoked sapphire and a sculptural titanium case to frame its in‑house LM114 calibre, aimed squarely at collectors who appreciate both the historical nod to Breguet and Louis Moinet and the unapologetically technical, openworked aesthetic that defines the brand’s current creative trajectory.
