Three Women. One Bentley. A Story Worth Telling.

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Bentley’s Mulliner division has just completed a one-of-a-kind Continental GTC. Three musicians designed it from scratch. They visited Bentley’s campus in Crewe. Their names: Anna Lapwood, Tina Guo and Sister Bliss.

Mulliner is Bentley‘s bespoke coachbuilding division. It handles the rare and the deeply personal. Two female design consultants guided the entire process. Every decision the three women made became a physical detail on the finished car.

The Exterior

The car opens with Peacock Satin paint. Tornado Red accent lines run along the front bumper lower edge and rear diffuser. The wing mirrors carry the same Tornado Red Satin. Red brake calipers complete the picture. Ten-spoke 22-inch wheels continue the Peacock Satin into their pockets, with bright-machined faces adding contrast. The roof sits in Dark Grey Metallic.

Inside, the Details Speak

The interior starts with Imperial Blue leather. Pillar Box Red and Gold accent hide bring warmth and visual tension. Contrast stitching uses all three colours across every key surface. The headrest bezels abandon chrome and take on Imperial Blue Satin.

Tina Guo selected the fascia material. She chose Copper Stone veneer. Real stone, just 0.6mm thick, covers the dashboard. The red and gold tones sit naturally within the interior palette. Guo connected the material to her work around tribal music and ancestral heritage.

Sister Bliss brought a soundwave embroidery pattern to the interior. Bentley had never done this before. The pattern stitches across the seats and doors in blind Imperial Blue thread. The tonneau cover carries it in contrast Pillar Box Red. Treadplates repeat the motif. Open either door and an animated soundwave projects onto the ground through the puddle lamps. That detail alone makes this car unforgettable.

Anna Lapwood found her signature in an unexpected place. Every Bentley‘s air vent controls carry the name “Organ Stops.” The name originates from the pipe organ. The motion and function replicate those of a real organ stop. Lapwood specified these finished in 24K gold. It connects her craft directly to the car’s identity.

The Finishing Touch

A polished stainless steel plaque sits on the centre console. It carries the laser-engraved signatures of all three women. A Spotify code sits beside them. Scan it and a curated playlist by Lapwood, Guo and Sister Bliss starts playing immediately. It plays through the Bang & Olufsen system, framed by anodised gold and Beluga speaker grilles.

The car debuts on International Women’s Day at Bicester Motion. Bentley organised a female-focused cars and coffee event together with What She Drives. After that, the Continental GTC joins Bentley’s UK press fleet for several months. Bentley will then sell it.

Why This Car Matters

This project carries genuine personal depth. Three women with careers built on precision and creativity worked alongside Mulliner’s people. They made real decisions. Every detail connects to something lived.

The 24K gold Organ Stops exist because of Anna Lapwood. The soundwave embroidery exists because of Sister Bliss. The Copper Stone fascia exists because of Tina Guo. Bentley provided the craft. They gave the car a soul.
