Czapek & Cie, the Geneva-based independent watchmaker, in collaboration with GMT Great Masters of Time from Italy, announced the release of a limited edition Antarctique watch. This exclusive timepiece, featuring a grainy 4N gold hue dial, will be limited to 30 units and is set to captivate collectors and horology enthusiasts. It was presented at Milano Watch Week and will be exclusively available through GMT Milano’s boutique.
The watch showcases Czapek‘s craftsmanship and the Italian luxury watch market influence, with a 40.5mm stainless steel case, a gold-plated grainy textured dial, and the SXH5 in-house automatic movement with a micro-rotor and a 60-hour power reserve.
Xavier de Roquemaurel, CEO of Czapek, highlighted the personal significance of the collaboration, merging Swiss watchmaking with Italian design. GMT Great Masters of Time, led by Jacopo and Mattia Corvo, represents the third generation of a family business focused on high-end independent watchmaking. The Antarctique watch pays homage to Swiss precision and Italian elegance.
The 30-piece limited edition is set for delivery at the end of 2024 and is available exclusively at GMT’s Milan boutique. Czapek & Cie is known for its high-quality limited production timepieces and maintains the traditional watchmaking concept of ‘établissage’. GMT Milano, with its flagship store in Milan, is recognized for showcasing non-conventional watches and promoting independent watchmaking craftsmanship.
