A. Lange & Söhne LANGE 1 “25th Anniversary” – a photographic presentation

LANGE 1 was one of the four watches that A. Lange & Söhne presented on 24th of October 1994. An important date in the German’s watchmaking history and one of the most important milestones for the brand. Walter Lange and his partner Günter Blümlein made history that day. This year, A. Lange & Söhne celebrates 25 years from that moment with special anniversary pieces. The A. Lange & Söhne LANGE 1 “25th Anniversary” is one of them. It was presented at SIHH 2019, where I was able to have it in my hands. Since rivers of ink were spilt and an unnumbered amount of bytes have travelled on the Internet, I will restrain myself from praising once again the LANGE 1 and the prominent German brand. Certain is the level of watchmaking presented by A. Lange & Söhne is high. Very high! The amount and level of finishes are ones of the best available. Of course, the LANGE 1 “25th Anniversary” makes no exception.

Note the Walter Lange and Günter Blümlein mention. An ode to two special persons. One of them, Günter Blümlein shaped the world of watches. Besides A. Lange & Söhne, Jaeger-LeCoultre and IWC have flourished with him in charge. Without him, the mechanical horological world would have been sad and empty.
