Dior VIII Grand Bal Reine des Neiges

For the coming spring, I have the feeling that the ladies watches are a better subject. Searching for the best idea I asked myself what kind of watch would a woman choose. So I asked my wife what watch impressed her in the last days. The answer was Grand Bal Reine des Neiges from Dior.
This unique piece beauty comes in a perfect sized 36 mm yellow gold case that has the bezel paved with snow-set brilliant-cut pink sapphires. The case is covered on top with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass and it has the crown also set with a rose-cut diamond. The 30m water resistant case has the case-back in yellow gold.

As a result, in addition to the daytime and cocktail designs, the Dior VIII wardrobe also features evening designs with the “Dior Inversé” calibre, where the functional oscillating weight on the dial is reminiscent of the swirl of a ball gown. – Dior Website
The dial is yellow gold paved with the same type of snow-set brilliant-cut pink sapphires. The in-house “Dior inversé 11 1/2” calibre has the rotor in yellow and white gold with pink sapphires, blue sapphires, yellow sapphires, tsavorite garnets and diamonds. The hour and minute’s hands used are faceted yellow gold baton and fit perfectly the entire look of the dial.
This precious watch, Ref. CD153B5ZA005 0000, comes with two choices for the strap: a pink gold-coloured metallic leather strap and a black satin strap, with a yellow gold pin buckle paved with snow-set brilliant-cut pink sapphires.
