This year, the Swiss watch manufacturer Frederique Constant celebrates its partnership with Austin Healey Automobiles. Frederique Constant launches every year limited-edition “Vintage Rally” watches, which are inspired by the company’s passion for racing. This joint project celebrates the long, fifteen-year partnership between two well-respected brands, which consider craftsmanship and maximum precision to be their most important values. The elegant curves of the chronograph were inspired by the aesthetics of classic automobiles and form the perfect intersection between the world of automobiles and the art of watchmaking.
The Vintage Rally Healey chronograph FC-397HWB5B6 embodies the connection between timeless, watchmaking and the know-how of automotive engineering. It reflects the shared values: the passion for racing and excellent performance.
The beige coloured vintage suede strap, which gives your wrist a sporty and elegant look is complemented by an additional black rally strap.
The “Vintage Rally Healey Chronograph” is limited to 99 pieces and is available exclusively in Germany and the Netherlands. The gift box also takes up the theme of racing. Inside the box is a miniature version of the legendary Austin Healey car. Due to the classic sporty design, the limited edition watch is not only suitable for racing enthusiasts.
Design & technical specifications
The limited-edition timepiece with a diameter of 42 mm, which offers enough space for excellent readability, appears as a stainless steel version. The use of stainless steel ensures excellent values and properties in terms of weight and robustness. The domed sapphire crystal over the dial is shock and scratch-resistant, making it the ideal material for the various stresses of racing. Thanks to its water-resistance of 0.5 bar (5 meters), the timepiece also proves itself optimally outdoors.
The dial shows up in white with totalizers in Panda design. The hands and the Arabic numerals on the dial are in rose gold and add elegance to the sporty watch. The Healey logo can be seen at 6 a.m. and the seconds’ window appears at 9 a.m.
The automatic chronograph calibre FC-397 can be admired through the transparent case back. The Swiss calibre with 25 jewels strikes at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 46 hours. An outsourced movement operates the hours, minutes, seconds and date. It also serves as a drive for measuring an elapsed time using the chronograph, which is started and stopped at 2 o’clock using the pusher. The chronograph counters can be reset to zero using the pusher at 4 o’clock.
