An electrifying feeling

Many decades are remarkable, but only a few enjoy genuine cult status. The Seventies are definitely among them, and its fashion is forever being cited and re-interpreted: people wore their hair long with bell-bottom pants and radiant colours. Every year Glashütte Original celebrates this creative diversity with special editions of the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date, whose form language takes up designs from the Seventies and translates them into a contemporary vernacular.

Two lively colours

This year the limited editions feature dials in particularly vivacious colours. “Swimming Pool“ is the name for a fresh turquoise hue, inviting the observer to dive right in. “Watermelon”, a striking coral red, captures everyone’s attention and immediately spreads a good vibe. Both dials have a subtle, velvety finish, which makes the intense colours easy to wear with a wide range of outfits and on various occasions. Black rings highlight the totalizers and set them apart visually from the dials.

Finely tuned details

The Glashütte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date’s gently curved lines appear just as dynamic as its colours. Softly rounded corners are a signature feature of the 40 x 40 mm stainless steel case, which is carefully polished and satin-brushed. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal lets the dial colours shine in all their splendour. Two straps are available for th striking pair: either cool stainless steel or robust rubber appear to flow seamlessly into the case.

The pulse of the Seventies

This retro chronograph’s confident design language is a perfect complement to its inner qualities. The Calibre 37-02 manufactory movement gives it a precise heartbeat and reliably powers the hour, minute, small seconds, Panorama Date and short-time measurement displays.

The multi-talented mechanical movement with automatic winding ensures optimal user-friendliness and boasts a power reserve up to 70 hours, while the chronograph profits from a column wheel with flyback function. The entire movement is enhanced by traditional Glashütte finishing: the edges are beveled and polished, the tiny screws are polished and blued. The characteristic three-quarter plate, balance cock and skeletonized rotor are adorned with the refined Glashütte stripe finish.
