Reading Time: 2 minutes

Comfortable and designed for everyday wear, the Moser Pioneer Tourbillon and the Moser Pioneer Centre Seconds feature a design which is at the same time elegant, audacious and contemporary, with references to the industrial world. Water-resistant to 120 meters, these two models are part of the Pioneer family, which sports the sturdy case, made for the occasion from 5N red gold with black DLC-finished titanium inserts. The watches were launched at Miami Watches & Wonders.

Everyday life is far from a quiet river, H. Moser & Cie. has understood this well and created two watches of character, intended for everyday heroes. Whether in the city, at the beach or in the mountains, with friends or children, in front of a barbecue or on a bicycle, the Pioneer Tourbillon and the Pioneer Centre Seconds adapt to every situation. They feature a water-resistant case, made from 5N red gold and black DLC-finished titanium, topped with a domed sapphire crystal that highlights the deep and mysterious tones of the Midnight Blue fumé dial. The indices, tipped with a luminescent dot, are faceted, and the hands are partially skeletonized with Superluminova® tips, perfectly in line with the open, streamlined aesthetic. A rubber strap provides the final touch, reinforcing the contemporary dynamic of this resolutely stylish model, with a bold touch of non-conformity.

On the movement side, the Pioneer Tourbillon Midnight Blue is equipped with the manufacture HMC 804 self-winding calibre. This movement is equipped with a double flat hairspring designed and produced in-house. Thanks to this pair of matched hairsprings, the movement of the point of gravity on each spring when it expands is corrected, significantly improving accuracy and isochronism in continual pursuit of perfection. In addition, the paired hairsprings also reduce the effect of friction normally experienced with a single hairspring, improving isochronism. Finally, the tourbillon’s unique design makes it an interchangeable module, assembled and regulated independently of the movement via a simple plug and play system which allows easy servicing. The result is a tourbillon better adapted to the needs of today, designed for everyday wear, water resistant to 120 meters and providing a power-reserve of 72 hours. Offering a sporty reinterpretation of the tourbillon, a resolutely modern and contemporary version, H. Moser & Cie. gives birth to a tourbillon that can be worn with elegance in any circumstances.

At the heart of the Pioneer Centre Seconds Midnight Blue model beats the HMC 200 self-winding movement. This manufacture calibre is equipped with a regulating organ designed, developed and produced entirely in-house. Decorated with the famous Moser double stripes on the bridges and plate, the HMC 804 and HMC 200 calibres are 100% Swiss, 100% Moser. Both are housing a large engraved oscillating weight that transfers the energy to the barrel via a bi-directional pawl-winding system which reduces the time required to fully wind the watch.
