H. Moser& Cie keeps the public’s interest high with some cool novelties launched during Baselworld 2019. For the first part, I will present you the official press releases for the new versions of the Endeavour Flying Hours SuperLuminova Blue and Cosmic Green and the uber cool Venturer Concept Vantablack. REVISITING THE ENDEAVOUR FLYING HOURS IN BOTH GREEN AND SUPERLUMINOVA
Featuring one main disc displaying the minutes, around which three small planetary gears displaying the hours gravitate: the Endeavour Flying Hours caused a stir when it was launched in 2018. So much so that the Schaffhausen-based Manufacture has decided to create two new limited edition models. The first features a one-of-a-kind phosphorescent blue display, so that the Endeavour Flying Hours can be admired at any time, day or night! The second boasts the Cosmic Green dial which has become one of the signatures of H. Moser & Cie.
Using discs to display the time, H. Moser & Cie. has drawn its inspiration from planetary systems, which gives it its own unique re-interpretation, with an elegant and minimalist look. In the centre, the main disc in sapphire displays the minutes on a 240° sector; three smaller discs bearing the hour numerals are arranged around it. Each planetary gear rotates on its own axis.
For the Endeavour Flying Hours SuperLuminova® Blue model, H. Moser & Cie. chose to combine two of its most impressive dials, rhodium-plated fumé for the base of the dial and Funky Blue for the hour discs. And, because the Schaffhausen-based Manufacture does nothing by half measures, it used Globolight® and Superluminova® to ensure that the time can be read day and night. Globolight® is an innovative material which can adopt all shapes and colours, and which contains Superluminova®. The combination of these two materials creates surprising contrasts of light in the dark. On the second model, H. Moser & Cie. has used its famous Cosmic Green dial, reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis or northern lights. The hour discs, which are so well integrated as to be almost invisible, blend into the main dial, ensuring the aesthetic stays true to H. Moser & Cie.’s signature refined style.
The Endeavour Flying Hours SuperLuminova® Blue and Endeavour Flying Hours Cosmic Green models both feature a white gold case. A dark grey alligator leather strap adds an irreverent, modern touch to the look of the Endeavour Flying Hours SuperLuminova® Blue. On the Endeavour Flying Hours Cosmic Green, a black alligator leather strap adds the finishing touch for refined, timeless elegance.
At the heart of these two creations, the HMC806 automatic calibre guarantees a minimum 3-day power reserve. It is equipped with a bi-directional pawl-winding system powered by a solid red gold oscillating weight. The escapement and hairspring are produced in-house by Precision Engineering AG, a sister company of H. Moser & Cie.

THE VENTURER CONCEPT VANTABLACK® FROM H. MOSER & CIE.: PURE ELEGANCE
The Venturer Concept Vantablack® from H. Moser & Cie. combines the warm, gentle tones of 5N red gold with an ultra-black dial made from Vantablack®, an innovative material used in astrophysics. The Schaffhausen-based Manufacture plays on the contrast between a high-tech material, which must be handled delicately, and a model with a neo-vintage look. Available as a Concept model, with neither logo nor indices, on a Venturer case 39 mm in diameter, this piece is a minimalist reinterpretation of the dress watch which takes elegance to a new dimension.

Regarded as the darkest substance in existence, its ultra-black coating, Vantablack®, is used in astrophysics in telescopes and by the army as thermal camouflage. It is composed of carbon nanotubes that are vertically aligned next to each other and is capable of absorbing 99.965 % of light. It is this material that H. Moser & Cie. chose for the dial on its Venturer Concept Vantablack®. This astral, abysslike black, which reflects no light, appears to stunning effect on a Concept dial, with neither logo nor indices. The case, whose convex shapes evoke the 1960s and the Bauhaus movement of the 1940s, plays the neo-vintage card while showcasing a round design inspired by historic pocket watches. Measuring 39 mm in diameter, the case is made from 5N red gold which emphasises the pitch black dial in a combination that redefines elegance. The understated look of the Venturer Concept Vantablack® is the perfect illustration of H. Moser & Cie.’s acclaimed style – minimalist luxury which is unmistakeable and immediately recognisable.
At the heart of the Venturer Concept Vantablack® case beats the HMC 327 hand-wound Manufacture calibre with small seconds. Visible through the sapphire case-back, this movement is equipped with an escapement with a bi-directional screw, developed and manufactured by Precision Engineering, the sister company of H. Moser & Cie. The HMC 327 calibre guarantees a minimum 3-day power reserve, displayed on an indicator on the reverse side of the watch, to preserve the refined elegance of the dial.
For the strap, H. Moser & Cie. opted for black alligator – the finishing touch for a timeless piece which is refined with just a touch of irreverence. Traditional without being conventional, it displays the subtlest hint of sexiness. It is a reinterpretation of the dress watch, the must-have piece, the watch equivalent of the little black dress. A model which is highly likely to draw many stars into its orbit.
