MB&F Legacy Machine FlyingT – a lady’s watch, a gentleman’s delight…

MB&F announced at the beginning of March their first ladies watch – the Legacy Machine FlyingT. I was thrilled to find the news and curious to see it in person. I got my chance during the Baselworld. And I was not disappointed. I mean, I already knew about it from the press release. But meet it in the wild was a glamorous experience. Since the press release was so well written, I found myself in the position that my words are not that meaningful. So I will just stick to make some personal comments in the caption of the images. MB&F Legacy Machine FlyingT

The FlyingT is one of the latest addition in the Legacy Machine Collection. It was designed and intended as a lady’s watch but it seems a lot of gentlemen were impressed by it. Below, a short hands-on clip from Baselworld 2019.

Legacy Machine FlyingT Black Lacquer edition: the “simplest” edition comes with an exquisite and elegant black dial.

The 38.5mm white gold case is set with 168 stones.

The FlyingT uses two crowns: for setting the time on the right and for winding on the left

The design is pure feminine. The alluring shape of the case is made to embrace a lady’s wrist in a delicate manner.

The LM FlyingT has an interesting construction: indecipherable and complicated, but rich in feelings. Just like the loved woman.

The watch is appealing from any point of view

The open, vertical construction of the movement is terminated with a gorgeous diamond placed on top

For a complex construction, the automatic movement is quite compact

The calibre is nicely decorated

Instead of going horizontally with the movements’ gears, the FlyingT has a logical vertical design

A superb “nice touch” – the stone fixed on top of the movement

The bridge of the balance wheel is a more compact reinterpretation of the bridges met in the Legacy Machine Collection

The side of the watch reveals the true height of the movement

The watch’s profile is like a miniature of a futuristic underwater or space world.

The MB&F LM FlyingT is definitely not a subtle watch

The sun-shaped rotor is a beautiful sculpture

The back view offers an unexpected view of the Sun.

The strap buckle is also set in diamonds. Not as spectacular as the rest of the watch, but elegant and appropriate.

The LM FlyingT fits great even a man’s wrist. A comfortable and delicate wear. I was surprised to find the watch light, despite the gold case and big sapphire dome.

The paved version comes with a black lacquered dial. A powerful contrast with the iced background.

A good looking piece – I found out that most of the men prefer the paved version, while the ladies prefer the black lacquered version. Such a strange feeling!

One might expect that the legibility will suffer from all the surrounding shine, but no.

The movement is also highlighted by the reflected light.

Baguette diamonds edition:

294-baguette diamonds and 3 stones (134-baguette diamonds on the dial, 124-baguette diamonds on the case, 12-baguette diamonds on the buckle, 24-baguette diamonds and 2 stones for the crowns, 1 stone on top of the tourbillon cage). About 8.2 ct.
