The present is built with the past and the past is written by the present. Learn from the achieved successes in order to reach new ones. The new Edox Delfin embodies this loyalty and ambition. They invite you to travel through time and to forge your future.
The Delfin uses the disruptive double O’ring system launched for the first time in 1961 as well as a reinforced case back which allows the new Edox caliber 80 to operate perfectly in depths up to 300 meters. In order to guarantee the readability at this depth, the indexes and the hands are covered with SLN X1 while the sapphire glass protects the watch from scratches and reflections.
Because a real champion is also a symbol of charisma, the new Delfin displays the iconic dodecagonal bezel, modernised and worn by the most adventurous wrists since 1973. This time, the bezel sports a refreshed look by displaying a second colour until 4 o’clock for short, shallow dives. The clean, but efficient dial, sports three hands and a date display.
In all, five new models bring new colour combinations. New colours ready to accompany you to new, undiscovered places, where – like the Delfin – you are a true pioneer.
EDOX – DELFIN
First introduced in 1961, the Delfin is an emblematic collection with an iconic design and a true timekeeping pioneer. It was the first watch to use the ‘Double O ring” system which, with a reinforced case back, gave it 200m water resistance. Today, this incredible collection is still known as “The Water Champion’ and remains the explorers’ first choice.
135 YEARS OF EDOX
Like time itself, Swiss boutique watchmaker Edox never stands still. The Les Genevez-based company this year celebrates its 135th anniversary. Founder Christian Ruefli-Flury was driven by his heart when, in 1884, he made a pocket watch for his beloved wife Pauline’s 25th birthday. Delighted, she convinced him to set up his own company – Edox.
Over the decades Edox has forged a reputation as the ‘‘water champion’’ of the watch world, creating world-leading divers’ watches. Ruefli-Flury would no doubt be amazed and honoured how his legacy has flourished over the past 135 years.
One of the few remaining family-owned Swiss watchmakers, Edox proudly acknowledges its heritage but also embraces innovation and imagination in its collections. Today, Edox is known for its highly water-resistant timepieces, complex hand-polished watch cases and traditional hand assembling.
