Reading Time: 2 minutes

Vasyl Lomachenko, all called “Hi-Tech” (or boxing’s Picasso) is considered the world’s best pound-for-pound boxer. His speed, his pivots, his shot sequences and his dodges have won over boxing fans everywhere. In only 13 professional fights, he has already won the European championship title in Liverpool (2008) in the featherweight category, double Olympic titles – in Beijing (2008) in the featherweight category and in London (2012) in the lightweight category – as well as three World titles: in Chicago (2007) and in Milan (2009) in the featherweight category and in Baku (2011) in the lightweight category. Round after round, fight after fight, win after win, the Ukrainian looks ever more powerful, confident and aggressive in the ring, as he once again proved at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on April 12th, when he knocked out Anthony Crolla in the fourth round and thereby retained his WBA and WBO lightweight belts.

OFFICIAL PRESENTATION OF THE LOMA WATCH

On Saturday, August 31st, Lomachenko added a third lightweight champion belt after his fight against England’s Luke Campbell at the O2 Arena in London. On the same day, he was presented with the Loma watch, born from his collaboration with Christophe Claret.

This alliance between Christophe Claret and Loma (Vasyl Lomachenko) is no coincidence. In 2013 already, Christophe Claret drew inspiration from the world of boxing and Kantharos, a mono-pusher chronograph with constant-force escapement and cathedral-gong striking mechanism, equipped with an ingenious chiming system activated in each mode (start, stop, reset) – that also inspired Christophe Claret in creating the Loma watch.

Everything about this watch evokes the boxing world and Vasyl Lomachenko, the Ukrainian champion: witness the choice of mainly blue and yellow colors recalling the national flag; the yellow-lacquered “Loma” inscription on the blue leather strap; the transfers of the belts on the folding clasp as well as the inscription “Round” engraved on the 2 o’clock pusher and enhanced with yellow Super-LumiNova®.

The Loma watch will be sold in a 20-piece limited edition available on markets from September.
