Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece collection deserves our attention and for today my choice is the Mysterious Seconds Revelation.
The 43 mm stainless steel case is satin and polished finish, has a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflexive coating. Through the screwed back case with sapphire crystal is visible the automatic calibre ML125: hours and minutes dial at 2 o’clock and seconds display at 6 o’clock. The heart beats with 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz) and has a power reserve of 50 hours. The calibre is decorated in black/gold with circular Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges and rotor.
The dial is at least unusual: off-centred hours and minutes display on a black or white background with blue or silver Arabic figures, large seconds display with, depending on the angle of vision, transparent or mat background. The hands are faceted with blue or black coating for hours and minute hands and with rhodium coating with white/red coated tips or blue coating with black/silver tips for seconds hand.
The watch strap is a black or brown large-scale crocodile-skin strap, hand-stitched, with folding steel clasp with push buttons with satin and polished finishes.
