Piaget’s Possession collection is turning 30 this year! Thirty iconic years of joy, luck and happiness! Possession was first unveiled in 1990 with a yellow gold ring that featured a central turning band that could be swivelled and twirled on the finger in a ritual gesture that created a special interaction between the ring and its owner. Thirty years on and the Piaget Possession continues to seduce men and women with its invitation to “Turn for Extraordinary”.
Piaget Possession has always been so much more than just jewellery; it is a companion that inspires its owners to take possession of their lives and make their dreams come true. With every spin, twist or turn this beautiful talisman releases its magic to bring luck and happiness to its owner.
At the end of the nineties, the Piaget Possession advertising campaign was created by the famous American fashion and portrait photographer Richard Avedon. Avedon captured the spirit of Piaget’s Possession campaign through a series of portraits of women that showed their beauty, strength, and grace.
Keeping it in the family – the photographer who captured last year’s Piaget Possession campaign is none other than Avedon’s grandson, Michael Avedon, a brilliant young photographer who is blazing his own trail.
Jewellery from the Piaget Possession collection has seduced numerous celebrities, including Eva Longoria, Sienna Miller, Jessica Chastain, Olivia Palermo, Shiva Safai, Hu Ge, Balqees and even Queen Rania of Jordan who all chose Piaget’s Possession for its elegant and playful nature.
Over the years, the Piaget Possession collection has expanded to include bangles, earrings, necklaces, and timepieces, allowing both men and women endless possibilities to play with their style!
This year, the Piaget Possession collection continues its invitation to “Turn for Extraordinary” with four new creations in yellow gold in commemoration of the very first yellow gold Possession ring that started this extraordinary journey.
There are three anniversary-edition yellow gold bangles: the first comes in a large size with two turning rings that are paved with diamonds and adorned with a paved semi-sphere. The second comes in a medium size with one turning diamond band and diamonds on the bangle, and the third comes in a medium size with one diamond turning band.
The limited-edition anniversary timepiece is housed in a 29mm yellow gold case that features two bands around the dial, one of which is paved with diamonds and spins and turns. The dial is decorated with a delicate snow-setting of diamonds that scintillates in the light.
These anniversary editions capture all the optimism and positive energy of this iconic collection and are truly an ode to the shared joy that the Maison holds so dear.
Their spinning elements offer playful movement and continue to make every moment of their owner’s life extraordinary.
About Piaget
Piaget epitomizes daring creativity – a quality that has continued to permeate through the Maison since its beginnings in 1874. From his first workshop in La Côte-aux-Fées, Georges-Edouard Piaget devoted himself to crafting high-precision movements in a feat that formed the very foundations of our pioneering name. In the late 1950s, Piaget unveiled the ultra-thin movements that would later become the Maison’s trademark and the cornerstone of the Altiplano collection. As a true innovator of the watch and jewellery world, Piaget strongly believed in creativity and artistic values. It is within the walls of our “Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire” where master artisans continue to harness rare skills that have been preserved and perfected from generation to generation, transforming gold, stones and precious gems into dazzling works of art. Through its pursuit of masterful craftsmanship, the Maison has created emblems of daring excellence channeled into its collections including Piaget Altiplano, Piaget Polo, Limelight Gala, Possession, Sunlight, Piaget Rose and Extremely Piaget.
