The Swiss watchmaker Edox Watches comes with a new dial variation in its legendary diver watches collection: Edox Neptunian Midnight Blue.
Nearly 50 years ago, boutique Swiss watchmaker Edox launched the legendary SkyDiver, a reliable sports timepiece created especially for a military elite group. Now, with the release of the Neptunian, Edox completes its 1973 model’s transformation into an extremely rugged dive watch and a new collection in its own right.
Water-resistant to an incredible 1’000m, the Neptunian is built ultra-tough to handle not only the pressures of the deep but, thanks to its strong and durable stainless-steel case, anything on the surface as well. A 3mm-thick sapphire crystal protects the classic, clean dial encircled by a ceramic bezel. The case back features a striking engraving of Neptune, the Roman God of the Sea.
You’ll never miss the seascape thanks to the dark midnight blue dial, which reminds us the ocean colours and its immensity. The Neptunian’s Super-LumiNova X1-coated hands and indices ensure readability in low light – or underwater. The built-in helium escape valve guarantees the Neptunian’s Automatic Calibre 80 movement, with its 38-hour power reserve, won’t miss a beat even after being deep beneath the waves.
The Neptunian is the natural evolution of a timeless classic and another striking addition to the Edox family of Water Champions timepieces.

NEPTUNIAN
The Neptunian models are the natural evolution of the SkyDiver collection rumoured to be launched following a Swiss colonel secret request in 1973. Water-resistant down to 1000m, the Edox Neptunian is a true ‘‘Water Champion’’. Its outstanding durability and reliability were achieved by several engineering improvements such as 3mm thick sapphire crystal, automatic helium escape valve, double O’ring system and screw-down crown. The Neptunian combines precision, extreme conditions withstanding with elegance and aesthetics of a modern diving time instrument.
EDOX
Like time itself, Swiss boutique watchmaker Edox never stands still. Founder Christian Ruefli-Flury was driven by his heart when, in 1884, he made a pocket watch for his beloved wife Pauline’s 25th birthday. Delighted, she convinced him to set up his own company – Edox.
Over the decades Edox has forged a reputation as the ‘‘water champion’’ of the watch world, creating world-leading divers’ watches. Ruefli-Flury would no doubt be amazed and honoured how his legacy has flourished over the past 135 years.
One of the few remaining family owned Swiss watchmakers, Edox proudly acknowledges its heritage but also embraces innovation and imagination in its collections. Today, Edox is known for its highly water-resistant timepieces, complex hand-polished watch cases and traditional hand assembling.
Edox. A company shaped over time. A company shaping time.
