A new special edition, limited to a total of only 150 pieces, now complements the PRIMUS collection of the watch manufacturer Hanhart from the Black Forest: the PRIMUS FLY NAVY. A reliable and robust chronograph is rarely as needed as when flying low over the sea in a stormy night. Whether in the Arctic or in the tropics, in the ocean or in the coastal mountains, flying in the Marine often faces severe conditions. The PRIMUS FLY NAVY Chronograph is precise, reliable and easy to read by day and night, making it easy to fly without further navigational assistance. In the German Navy, precision and tradition have been high on the agenda for over 110 years, and Hanhart has also been following this maxim since 1882. It is reflected in this limited special edition.
The significant connection between Hanhart and aviation goes back a long way in his-tory. In aviation, automatic pilot watches had to withstand extreme shocks, enormous temperature fluctuations, large altitude differences and fluctuating weather conditions – challenges with which air forces are still familiar today.
Flying over the sea has always required the highest precision and a keen under-standing of the elements. In few other places do the forces of nature have such a direct impact as in a low-level flight over the sea on a stormy night, at which a swaying deck awaits the pilot for landing. The limited edition Hanhart PRIMUS FLY NAVY is a reliable and precise chronograph as well as the perfect companion on your wrist in such challen-ging situations.
A special feature of the Hanhart PRIMUS watch are the flexible lugs, which offer optimal wea-ring comfort for every wrist, even with a diameter of 44 mm. The limited chronograph fits both as an eyecatching watch for a relaxed beach vacation or as a reliable time-piece for challenging tasks of the naval forces.
The limited Hanhart PRIMUS FLY NAVY chronograph combines precision and tradition with various maritime details. According to Greek mythology, the second is shown by the trident of the sea god Poseidon, which can also be found on the crest of Naval Aviation Squadron 3 „Graf Zeppelin“. On the sapphire crystal case back, the crest of either MFG3 or MFG5 squadron can be found. The sapphire crystal caseback also features either the MFG3 „Graf Zeppelin“ or MFG5 crest and can be individually selected. To complete the unique details of the limited edition marine watch, the „Marinefliegerlogo“ is featured on the navy blue dial and on the screw-in crown of the chronograph.
The Hanhart PRIMUS FLY NAVY chronograph is available with either a stainless steel case or PVD coated case. The stainless steel case comes with a blue textile strap. The watch with the black PVD coated case comes with a matching black textile strap.
The numerals and hands of the PRIMUS FLY NAVY are coated with the modern Super LumiNova® SLN C3 GL, which ensures perfect readability by day and night.
The crests of the MFG3 „Graf Zeppelin“ and MFG5 squadrons are printed on the glass caseback of the PRIMUS FLY NAVY chronograph and are a symbol of cohesion and solidarity. In the case of the MFG3 crest, the affiliation to the marine pilots is symbo-lized by the wing and the anchor in the center. The five stars stand for the five virtues: loyalty, courage, readiness, reliability and endurance. The MFG5 coat of arms includes water, sea eagle, anchor and wing as elements and has existed in this form since 2013. The head of the sea eagle is meant to preserve the sovereignty over the airspace above sea.
The new PRIMUS FLY NAVY chronograph can be ordered now for 2,690.00 EUR incl. 19% VAT at www.hanhart.com. The version with black PVD coated case costs 3.190,00 EUR incl. 19% VAT. Members of the Naval Air Command / Naval Air Squad-ron receive a discount of -25%.
