Panerai unveils two new precious additions to the Luminor Due universe at Watches and Wonders Shanghai 2023

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Panerai reveals the new Luminor Due PAM01423 and Luminor Due Luna TuttoOro PAM01504 premiering at Watches and Wonders 2023 in Shanghai. The novelties join the Luminor Due family, the Maison’s vaunted dress watch collection that introduced lighter and slimmer versions of the Panerai’s signature proportions while maintaining its mechanical esteem.

Panerai Luminor Due PAM01423

The Panerai Luminor Due PAM01423, set in a 42mm case, introduces the precious yellow gold in the Luminor Due line, intently appointed with a contemporary touch where it is paired with a green alligator strap featuring scale ridges in a darker shade to lend a dynamic nuance to the timepiece.

The green shaded dial that transitions from a light center to a darker gradient at the edges presents the date at 3 o’clock and small second hand at 9 o’clock with white Super-Luminova® indexes that glow in green in the dark.

With an open case back and powered by the automatic Panerai P.900 calibre, a three-day power reserve and 5-bar water resistance, the model also features a pin buckle in the same yellow gold material. The Luminor Due PAM01423 will be available exclusively in Panerai boutiques.

Panerai Luminor Due Luna TuttoOro PAM01504

As part of the Watches and Wonders Shanghai 2023 novelties, the Luminor Due Luna TuttoOro PAM01504 represents the Maison’s first moon phase model with a Panerai Goldtech™ bracelet, a distinct alloy enriched with platinum and copper, lending the metal a deep, rich red tone. Inspired by the patented Panerai crown-protection device, each link of the bracelet bears the semi-oval profile of the safety-lock system. Alternating between polished and brushed finishes, the curved links lend a refined finesse to the timepieces that are added to the dress watch wardrobe. The 38mm case is also crafted from Goldtech™ and boasts a mother-of-pearl dial.

The moon phase complication, one of the most poetic in horology, stands as the centerpiece of the Luminor Due Luna TuttoOro, the name paying homage to ‘luna’, the Italian word for moon. Positioned at 3 o’clock, a rotating disc presents a moon set against a midnight blue sky studded with stars. White Super-LumiNova® graces the applied numerals and indexes on the dial, while the matching Goldtech™ bracelet adds a lustrous finishing touch. The open case back uncovers the intricate mechanism of the automatic P.900/MP calibre, with a three-day power reserve. The Luminor Due Luna TuttoOro PAM01504 will be available exclusively in Panerai’s flagship boutiques.

These novelties are part of Panerai’s Luminor Due universe, a collection, introduced in 2016, that expresses urban Italian sophistication. The line’s distinguishing features – the crown-protecting bridge and the distinct cushion-shaped case – are a testament to Panerai’s heritage, while the slimmer profiles, innovative materials and refined aesthetic cater to the modern watch enthusiast.

Officine Panerai is not the owner of the Super-Luminova® trademark.

About Panerai
Founded in Florence in 1860 as a workshop, shop and subsequently school of watchmaking, for many decades Panerai supplied the Italian Navy and its specialist diving corps in particular with precision instruments.
The designs developed by Panerai in that time, including the Luminor and Radiomir, were covered by the Military Secrets Act for many years and were launched on the international market only after the brand was acquired by the Richemont Group in 1997.
Today Panerai develops and crafts its movements and watches at its Neuchâtel manufacture. The latter are a seamless melding of Italian design flair and history with Swiss horological expertise. Panerai watches are sold across the world through an exclusive network of distributors and Panerai boutiques.
