After years of exploring timeless materials of extraordinary strength and enticing mystery, Swiss watchmaker Rado launches a new line to celebrate women, and femininity in its myriad forms. The master of unusual substances is teaming up with the profoundly original (and of decidedly unusual substance) French-Austrian designer Marina Hoermanseder for a brand-new version of its Captain Cook timepiece — an exquisitely bold and totally empowering piece of watchmaking elegance. Buckle up for the ride, for Marina loves experimenting with colour, forms and materials, and this latest Rado brings together what she loves best — upbeat, breathtaking design — around a state-of-the-art movement and timepiece by the famous Swiss brand.

The new and stylish 37 mm timepiece features some of Marina’s signature elements, such as her trademark buckle and leather strap in expressive and exuberant pink, with a matching cylindrical watch case adorned with the Marina Hoermanseder logo. In respect of women’s preference for a range of choices, the new Rado is delivered with three watch straps, in pink, black and an original, extra-long version, also pink, meant to go twice around the wrist. This smart arrangement allows the watch and MH buckle to end up on the same side of the wearer’s arm, a neat and playful touch. The straps are all equipped with EasyClip fittings to allow for quick change, in harmony with the wearer’s predisposition or mood of the moment. It’s all very stylish, with just the right amount of bling, and the various components find a safe home in the handsome pink carrying case, also equipped with buckle closures.

Marina Hoermanseder founded her Berlin-based label in 2013. Since then, the French-Austrian designer’s work has shown bold, innovative character combining high artisanal sophistication and eccentric yet elegant designs.
The designer’s career began with a successful internship at Alexander McQueen and her designs have since attracted attention at various Fashion Weeks around Europe.
