Reduced to the essentials: the new Hanhart PIONEER Silva

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Silva: the Latin word for forest describes the origin of the new model that now joins the PIONEER collection. In the heart of the Black Forest, in the picturesque town of Gütenbach, the watchmakers of the 140-year-old company Hanhart manufacture every single piece of the new Hanhart PIONEER Silva. With a diameter of 38.5 mm and a case height of 10 mm, the watch is perfect for everyday wear. The design is reduced to the essentials, sleek and flat. The uncluttered dial combines modern design with classic elements.

When it comes to design inspiration, it is never a bad idea to look to the past. The new Hanhart PIONEER Silva is based on a model from the company’s own museum. The historical model Kal 36/39, named after the Hanhart calibre 36/39 with 15 jewels, served as a simple and clean historical template. The basic design has been reinterpreted in a modern way to create a more contemporary look.

The clean dial and straight-line hands offer perfect contrast and readability. The distinctive dots between the numerals are taken from the historical model. As with the other PIONEER models, Hanhart uses the historical logo on the dial of the PIONEER Silva.
