A sporty, retro look combined with vintage details and an exquisite chronograph movement – UNION Glashütte presents this timepiece in a limited edition of 350 pieces, which has been especially created for the Sachsen Classic: UNION Glashütte Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Sachsen Classic 2021. Passion for pure mechanisms and a faible for nostalgia make both parties perfect partners. The watch’s vintage character is enhanced by its pump push-buttons, gently domed sapphire crystal and extraordinary racing scale. A blue nubuck leather strap with a white bar tack stitch and retro reverse design finish off the chronograph.
The UNION Glashütte Belisar Chronograph Sachsen Classic 2021 is now the tenth watch to come out of an eleven-year partnership, which UNION Glashütte has designed in-house for this unique classic car rally, taking place in August. As the name suggests, the route will run through the picturesque Free State of Saxony in Germany, which is famous both for its watchmaking and vehicle manufacturing.
The chronograph is steeped in the charm of a classic car, with pump push-buttons which are easy to operate and set each hand in motion. Equally retro, the tinted, gently domed sapphire crystal gives a view of the dark-blue dial, which has a similar, gently rounded shape. The totalisers are playfully accentuated in black. The tachymeter – of particular importance for rally drivers – has been replaced by a racing scale in white, reminiscent of the chequered finishing flag that is an essential element of motor racing. The larger seconds and minutes ensure that the time can be read with great precision. The hour and minute hands are also coated with Super-LumiNova® and the screwed-on sapphire crystal case back on the reverse of the watch reveals the UNION Glashütte UNG.27.01.
An additional retro racing detail is the blue nubuck leather strap, with a white bar tack stitch and its underside coloured red. Thanks to an unusual reverse design, the red is also visible at the side of the strap.
The UNION Glashütte Belisar Chronograph Sachsen Classic is available in an exceptional limited edition box, together with an additional leather pouch which picks up the red and blue of the watch strap. The timepiece is limited to 350 pieces and is available at a recommended retail price of EUR 2680.00, VAT included.
