The precious warmth of pink gold frames the 49 mm case of the QuattroValvole Tourbillon, an exceptional timepiece from Meccaniche Veloci. A classic high watchmaking feature becomes the focus of a mechanical and stylistic exercise into which the brand imbues its DNA.

The generously proportioned case, inspired by the shape of a piston, houses the calibre MV8880 entirely developed in-house by Meccaniche Veloci, a movement that operates in three time zones and incorporates a tourbillon.

The fascinating technical complexity is enhanced by the distinctive design of the dial. The characteristic Meccaniche Veloci iconography, with its four distinctive sub-dials, has been embellished and redesigned in order to highlight the beauty and workmanship of some of the movement’s components.

The dial, much of which is skeletonised, allows a view of the tourbillon positioned at the bottom right of the timepiece, an open window allowing the fine workmanship of this part of the calibre to be admired. The movement coordinates three time zones, displayed on two dials at the top and on the bottom left dial, as well as the date and stop seconds. The two left-hand dials stand out against a background decorated with circular graining and frame a number of mechanical components, such as the typically MV-style bridges.

At the top left the date wheel is fully visible, becoming an unusual decorative element; the date can be clearly read through the aperture at 9 o’clock on the carbon dial at the top right. Adjacent to the 4 dials are 4 crowns, three of which are for adjustment.

The hours and minutes are indicated by small central luminescent hands in the three dials dedicated to time zones. The red seconds’ hand is positioned at the centre of the tourbillon seat.

The strap, directly attached to the case via a system that does not require lugs, is in black crocodile skin with black stitching and a pink-gold Meccaniche Veloci folding clasp.
