This year, Mido is celebrating 20 years of architectural inspiration through five limited series. In 2002, the Mido All Dial collection was born and the brand would never be the same again! For the very first time, the collection is directly inspired by a monument – the extraordinary Colosseum in Rome. And you can tell in a single glance! With a unique structured multi-level dial and round case with integrated strap, All Dial stands out thanks to its original aesthetics and timeless lines, reliability and strength, much like “the greatest wonder of the Roman Empire”. The anniversary edition of Mido All Dial – in steel with a grained anthracite dial – inaugurates this exceptional series. The model comes in a limited edition of 2,022 timepieces, with high-precision chronometer movement. Each watch is presented in a special decorative case featuring a collectable commemorative medallion.
A monument on your wrist
Mido creates watches with aesthetics and mechanics that stand the test of time. It is only natural, then, that this commitment has led the brand to be inspired by architecture and iconic buildings that also defy time. Created in 2002, the All Dial collection will be the first to evoke one of ancient Rome’s most famous monuments in its design: the immense Colosseum amphitheatre. This strong and contemporary watch has a unique shaped case and different dial levels paying tribute to the visionary architecture symbolic of the Eternal City. Ever since, the art of architecture has been written into the creative DNA of Mido and has influenced all of its collections.
Timeless design
There can be no doubt, the Mido All Dial watch’s architectural inspiration is clear at first glance! The grained anthracite dial has a multi-level circular composition. The inner flange recalls the stands of the amphitheatre as seen from above, while the sandblasted texture is reminiscent of the building’s thousand-year-old stones and the indexes represent the arcades of the historic monument.
The round design also echoes the Roman Colosseum, with a 42 mm steel case that opens onto a perfectly visible display, thanks to sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides. For easy night-time visibility, there is white Super-LumiNova® on the indexes and hands. The day and date are shown at 3 o’clock to complete the display. A screwed crown and back ensure that it is water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bars (100 m/330 ft). The archaeological treasure is also evoked on the integrated satin-finished steel strap with polished elements, reminiscent of the amphitheatre’s arches.
Precision COSC movement
The Mido All Dial watch comes with exemplary reliability, featuring COSC-certified automatic chronometer movement with refined finishes – the oscillating weight is decorated with the Côtes de Genève and engraved with the Mido logo. This calibre offers a comfortable power reserve of up to 38 hours. Finally, the back of this anniversary model’s case is engraved with a drawing of the Colosseum.
The All Dial watch comes in an elegant and strong contemporary design – paying tribute to Mido’s passion for age-defying monuments.
