An hypnotic first-time experience between Perrelet and Label Noir. This is the first collaboration linking the inventor of the self-winding movement and the independent Geneva watchmaker, a dedicated reinventor of time reading. As a result of this exclusive union, the Turbine Evo by Label Noir is taking off towards darker, deeper and definitely more breathtaking skies. An exclusive evolution for a new meaning of Smart Luxury.
If Perrelet and Label Noir could have a common belief, it would be to honour the noble tradition of watchmaking and to master the most prestigious techniques in order to continually amaze. Established in 1777 by A.L. Perrelet, the Swiss Manufacture has always stood out. As the inventor of the automatic movement and watchmaker to three kings of France, the company is today renowned for its original timepiece dials featuring an exclusive technology: the double rotor. The embodiment of this patented technology is the iconic Turbine.
A futuristic model with 12 blades inspired by aircraft gas turbines, it delights in following the developments of the current times. For 2019, the still sporty Turbine but more sophisticated and contemporary, it is now called TURBINE EVO. EVO as in … evolution. The EVO echoes Label Noir‘s commitment to transcend the beautiful and the rare and to dare to take a step aside. The Turbine Evo x Label Noir is the seventh collaboration with a watch brand and a new stage in the brand’s co-branding history. A way for the Geneva watchmaker to enhance creative craziness, to magnify the material, and to apply its own hallmark of expertise. A creative and offbeat luxury, an unconventional and totally transformed timepiece.
Hypnotic Black: a 100% Label Noir aesthetic Signature
Perrelet and its Turbine series are highlighted by two specific codes. Its exclusive Double Rotor technology patented in 1995, which has since become the brand’s DNA, and its particularly innovative dials.
The renowned 12-blade dial, a distinctive part of Turbine processed in black ADLC, turns freely with the movement of the wrist. Then, a diving view of its heart reveals a brass sub-dial in the background with a mesmerizing optical effect. Why? Its ” electrocasting ” chemical treatment gives each of the pieces a unique, mysterious look, with vivid tones. Emmanuel Curti has chosen to focus on the visual pleasures. The Geneva-based watchmaker and founder of a company which is now a master in the art of the most sophisticated coatings, matches the seconds hand to the blades, the blades to the index hours. Black superluminova hour, minute and second hands for unimpaired readability in any light conditions. More black and more obvious, more black and more rare, this watch is available in 50 pieces only. Delivered with a Perrelet bi-material strap in PU and black alligator pattern leather, Soulage’s colour is not, however, the exclusive feature of this audacious new interpretation. The 44mm circular stainless-steel case is treated with grey ADLC, a specific Label Noir signature treatment, thereby echoing the grey bezel. The dual nature of the hues is the basis of this unique aesthetic. Refined, sophisticated, contemporary.
Turbine Evo: 100% Perrelet technicality and precision
As for the mechanism, this timepiece features all the original characteristics of the renowned Turbine EVO introduced in 2019 for the 10th anniversary of the Collection. A COSC-certified P-331-MH in-house automatic movement, a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The meticulous care that Perrelet devotes to every detail is truly amazing. The external crown of the case, designed with fluting, is a resolutely more up-to-date version of the classic watchmaking pattern. Square-section grooves form purely architectural pilasters that are also found on the case middle and that’s not all! If you look closely at the back of the case, you will notice that the ring surrounding the sapphire crystal also has the same decorative grooves. A whole bunch of details that suggest that the Turbine Evo Label Noir belongs to the elite circle of timepieces moved by futuristic grace.
The Label Noir Turbine Evo Limited Edition, 4’700 swiss francs, is available online both at the Label Noir and the Perrelet websites as well as to retailers.
