Launched only last year, the new line of watersports watches – Union Glashütte Noramis Date Sport – has been expanded to include a gleaming yellow design. This timepiece also boasts the dégradé dial, a distinctive feature of this particular line: The dial gradually changes from amber in the centre to rich black at the outer edge. The watch also has the stylish retro elements you would expect of the Noramis line: The classic sapphire edge-domed crystal and the unidirectionally rotating black ceramic bezel. The sporty look of the watch is complemented by a structured rubber strap in black with a double fold fastener.
The dial is slightly domed so that each colour gradient lets the timepiece shine regardless of where the light is coming from. The polished and satin-finished triangular hands emphasise the vintage character. For optimum readability, especially underwater, the markers and tips of the hands as well as the reference point on the rotating bezel are coated with Super-LumiNova®.
The crown of the watch is screwed in place. All watersports watches in the Union Glashütte Noramis Date Sport line feature exquisite design details, be it a polished case or a screwed bottom with sapphire crystal offering a glimpse of the UNG-07.S1 calibre.
The two exceptional characteristics of the movement are the indexless regulation system and an integrated silicon balance spring. Just like every Union Glashütte watch, the Noramis Date Sport is also finished, assembled and calibrated by our watchmakers in Glashütte, Saxony, in a process comprising numerous complicated steps.
With its diameter of 42 mm, the retro sports watch is perfect for any wrist. As the name indicates, the Noramis Date Sport has a date display at 3 o’clock.
What makes the yellow-black design so special is its black rubber strap with fold fastener, which really accentuates the sporty character of the watch.
The Noramis Date Sport is water-resistant up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 metres) and is available to purchase for €2200 (recommended retail price).
